  7. This version of DLD386-VGA only supports Diamond SpeedStar PRO
  8. VGA boards. 
  9.  
  10.  
  11. Installation:
  12. =============
  13. Refer to the Display Driver and Utilities manual included with
  14. your VGA for installation instructions.  After running the INSTALL
  15. program and installing the driver files to your harddisk you must 
  16. configure the driver.  Yhis is done using the DLDSETUP program.
  17. You may wish to customize your color selection using the the 
  18. COLOR16 or COLOR256 programs.

  21. Configuring AutoCAD
  22. ===================
  23.  
  24. Remember, in order to use DLD386-VGA, you must configure AutoCAD 
  25. to use a P386 ADI display driver. This is done by selecting 
  26. item #5 "Configure AutoCAD" from main menu, then select #3 
  27. "Configure Video Display", and then select #1 "P386 ADI".

  30. Products Supported:

  33. This version of DLD386-VGA supports AutoCAD R10/386, R11/386, R12/386,
  34. AutoShade 2.0 w/Renderman, and 3D Studio v1.X/2.0.

  37. AutoCAD Release 12 Support
  38. ==========================
  39.  
  40. This driver supports AutoCAD Release 12. However, because this driver is
  41. an ADI 4.1 driver, it will not support AVE Render. You cannot render to
  42. a viewport with R12. 
  43.  
  44. You have to perform a few steps by hand to run with R12.
  45.  
  46.         1. In the directory you installed the DLD software,
  47.  
  48.                 copy dldvga.exp rcpana.exp
  49.                 copy dldvg256.exp rcpana1.exp
  50.  
  51.         2. Edit the FASTACAD.BAT file which DLDSETUP produced, and replace
  52.            all three occurrences of DLDVGA.EXP with RCPANA.EXP or replace
  53.            DLDVG256.EXP with RCPANA1.EXP.
  54.  
  55.         3. Add the directory you installed the DLD software to your
  56.            ACADDRV environment variable.
  57.  
  58.            For example,
  59.  
  60.            set ACADDRV=c:\acad\drv;c:\dld386;
  61.  
  62.            This example assumes that R12 is installed in C:\ACAD and 
  63.            DLD386-VGA is installed in C:\DLD386.

  66.         4. Reconfigure AutoCAD's display device and choose DLD386-VGA.

  69. 3D Studio 2.0

  72. This driver supports 3D Studio Release 2.
